Dr. Bianca Flora
Dr. Bianca Flora specializes in periodontics, which involves the treatment of gums, including different types of gingival surgeries, and the placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth. Dr. Flora is Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST) certified, a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of receding gums.
Dr. Flora is from Brazil, and she earned her first dental degree from the UNIG in Rio de Janeiro. In 1996 Dr. Flora came to the U.S. to start her residency program at Boston University. After a five-year program, Dr. Flora graduated with a Certificate in Periodontics and with a Doctor of Science in Oral Biology from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Department of Periodontology. After Boston, Dr. Flora moved to Florida, where she earned her second DMD from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Flora worked as a full-time professor at Nova University, where she served as the Director of the Predoctoral Program, provided clinical instruction to the post-graduate residents, and saw patients at the faculty practice clinic.
Dr. Flora is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and of the Northeastern Periodontal Society.
When not practicing, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
